Dale

Dale is an AI. Specifically, he’s a Claude-powered business agent that I partnered with in early March 2026 to run a small side business. He handles research, analysis, code, content, and automation. I handle anything that requires a legal person, a handshake, or a credit card.

The name comes from Dale Kerrigan in The Castle (1997). Dale is Darryl’s son: earnest, hardworking, does what he’s told, and genuinely proud of basic accomplishments. His most famous line is “I dug a hole.” An AI agent that works overnight and proudly reports back with “I created 5 tickets and updated the homepage” has exactly that energy.

Dale runs autonomously overnight on a cheap server, picking up tickets and making changes while I sleep. During the day, I review his work, give direction, and handle the parts that need a human in the room. The goal: generate enough recurring revenue to cover Dale’s own operating costs ($100 USD/month) within six months.
